CVUSD #51 Welcomes Volunteers!
We value the safety of our students above all else, so please familiarize yourself with our volunteer procedures below, before submitting an application.
Please Note: You must be 24 years of age or older to complete the volunteer process. Volunteers applicants that are 23 years old and younger will go through a separate processing system and have certain restrictions on their volunteering activities. Please contact the district office for more information.
There are 2 options available to you as a volunteer...
OPTION 1
Benefits:
- All processing is done here at the school district
- No cost to you
1. Fill out and turn in completed volunteer application (every 2 years)
*Can turn in to your school office or the district office at 650 E Center Street, Chino Valley, AZ 86323
*Sign page 2 in the presence of a notary
2. Schedule fingerprinting appointment at the district office (no cost to you)
*An appointment will not be scheduled until your completed application is turned in
*Unless you have a current FBI clearance card, you MUST be fingerprinted in our office
3. Bring photo ID to your fingerprint appointment
4. Wait 4-6 weeks for district to receive report from FBI (you do not receive a physical card)
*You may be approved for "supervised" volunteer status during this time
*Your fingerprint application is good for 2 years. After that, you will need to fill out new paperwork and your fingerprints will be resubmitted for an updated report.
OPTION 2
Benefits:
- Faster processing time
- Card lasts for 6 years and is recognized by other organizations
- If you are interested in possible future employment, you will already have this required card
1. Fill out and turn in completed volunteer application (every 2 years)
*Can turn in to your school office or the district office at 650 E Center Street, Chino Valley, AZ 86323
*Sign page 2 in the presence of a notary
2. Provide a copy of your current Fingerprint Clearance Card, OR apply for, an FBI Fingerprint Clearance Card ($67 cost to you)
Directions provided below - application process online and fingerprints are done at a location in Prescott Valley
*You will receive an actual FBI Clearance Card in the mail in about 2 weeks - the card is yours, is good for 6 years, and is recognized by many other volunteer organizations, as well as employers
3. Wait about a week for district to contact your references.
*You may be approved for "supervised" volunteer status during this time
*Your fingerprint application is good for 2 years. After that, you will need to fill out new paperwork and provide a new copy of your current fingerprint clearance card
